Where to find sponsored posts and blogging collaborations

I have been running Fashion and Style Police since October 2012. It took me ages to figure out how to make a living from my blog. I still remember my first paid blogging collaboration. It happened when my blog was 4 months old and it was a whooping £25! Now that was snack money even back in 2012 but I still remember being very excited that a brand wanted to work with me. If you are wondering where to find sponsored posts and blogging collaborations you are reading the right post. I will be sharing 5 places to find paid blog collaborations so you can start making some money off your blog. We are all experiencing all sorts of things at the moment and with the whole working from home scenario, you now have the time to work even more on your blogs.

Where to find sponsored posts and blogging collaborations
Get Blogged

I have been working with Get Blogged for some months now and I really like how they operate. It is a great platform to find paid blogging gigs. There are sponsored posts opportunities for every type of blogs, even new blogs with a low domain authority. You need a domain authority of at least 10 to apply for jobs and the higher your domain authority is, the more opportunities for your blog and the more money you get. They also pay quickly and the briefs are always detailed and straightforward. I enjoy working with Get Blogged a lot. Register your blog and see for yourself.

Getfluence

I started working with Getfluence this year. It is another great platform to find well paid blogging collaborations. For this platform, you get contacted once an advertiser is interested in your blog. The payment is usually processed within 10 days once the blog post is live, and the blogging briefs are also very straightforward. It is always a pleasure working with Getfluence. You can register your blog and try the platform for yourself.

Bloggers Required

I have used Bloggers Required for years to find paid blogging jobs. I have worked with hundreds of brands through the platform. It is always a great spot to start looking for sponsored blog posts. There are loads of sponsored ads and you just register interest for the ads that work with your blog.

Twitter

Twitter is always a great platform to find paid blogging jobs. You can search for collaborations using #prrequest #journorequest #bloggerrequest and so on. You can also search for SEOs and PRs and give them a follow. If there is an email on their bio, sending a quick introductory email is another great way to get their eyeballs on your blog.

Facebook Groups

I find Facebook groups very useful for finding sponsored posts requests. Some great groups are “UK Influencer Opportunities” and “Blogger Opportunities”.

I hope you find this post useful and start making some money off your blog. If you are interested in growing your blog to the point where brands want to work with you, do contact me via email – fashionandstylepolice@gmail.com and take advantage of my blog coaching service.

5 Ways to Promote your Next Blog Post

In all my years as a blogger, I learnt that promoting your blog post is as important as creating the blog post. Nobody will know about your blog post unless you do your bit to spread the news. This is where new bloggers get frustrated before they make any headway in blogging. Readers don’t come automatically. You have to bring your content to your readers.

Here are 5 ways you can promote your blog post.

Be strategic with how you share your blog on social media

When it comes to sharing your blog post on social media, most bloggers just drop links to their blog posts on all the social media platforms. Although it is good to share your blog posts on social media, that should not be the only thing you do to promote your blog posts on social media.

Find Facebook groups on the niche you write in and if it’s allowed by the group rules, you can drop a link to your blog post. Take it further by interacting with members in the group and building relationships with them. Have conversations with influencers in other social networking platforms as well.

Another pro-tip is to share your old blog posts in your social media platforms to give these posts some exposure as well. Make sure you craft catchy and engaging social posts that complement your blog to get a conversation going. The key is building relationships and staying consistent with sharing content.

Comment on other blog posts often

This may come as a surprise to some of you but commenting on other blogs, especially blogs with thousands of readers will have attract eyeballs to your blog. But I must warn you that you need to make sure that you leave meaningful and valuable comments. Don’t just leave a one-line comment. Give your insight. Add value. Show your expertise. This is what will get the readers interested in checking out your own blog.

Feature or interview influencers in your blog posts

When you dedicate a blog post to an influencer, there is a possibility that they will share your blog post with their fans. This will give your blog post a lot of exposure when that happens.

Collaborate with other bloggers

You go far when you work with others. Collaborate with bloggers who have a larger following than you on a blog post or a project. That will create an opportunity for you to be put in front of their audience. There will be cross-promotion of your blog and the other blogger’s blog when you collaborate.

Join blogging communities

Blogging communities are a great space for bloggers of like minds. Everyone is interested in helping each other grow their blogs, solve blog related problems and give encouragement and support when the journey gets overwhelming.

Such blogging communities make a great avenue to increase the visibility of your blog post. This works only when you are active. Try and be a regular face in blogging communities. They give room to share your blog posts but you earn greater respect and more readers when you give value to the community as well.

How to decide on the Facebook Groups that work for you

There are so many Facebook Groups for Online Entrepreneurs. When I say Online Entrepreneurs, I mean anyone running an online business, which includes bloggers and online store owners. When I started Fashion and Style Police in 2012, there were only very few Facebook Groups available for online entrepreneurs. Fast forward to 2018, there are now hundreds if not thousands of groups available on Facebook and other social media platforms, which is great because it means there are groups that suit everyone’s needs.

The fact that there are so many Facebook groups available means it can be tricky to decide which ones to join and which to skip. Here are a few questions you should ask yourself before joining a Facebook group.

Will the Facebook Group be Useful?

What may be useful to Blogger A, may be of no use to Blogger B. So only join Facebook Groups that will be useful to your brand/business. There is no point seeing unnecessary information in your notifications box. There are so many groups available for various niches, countries and businesses, so stick to the ones you will find useful in growing your business/blog. For example, there is no point joining a group that is primarily for Travel Bloggers, if you are a Fashion Blogger. You will be bored in no time, and the readership won’t add any value to your blog.

Does the Timezone Work in your Favour?

There are groups set up all over Facebook in various countries and time zones. There is no point having a group that becomes active when you are asleep, except it is just for information purposes. So do consider the countries of majority of the group members to determine if it is the right group for you. Sometimes, I find it difficult to relate with people on a business level when they are in a different country. Their experiences are usually so different from my experiences .

What are the Admins Like?

I have had issues with a few admins in some groups. I am not a trouble maker but sometimes I find that trouble finds me. The first time I had an issue with an admin was about 2 years ago in the first Facebook Group I joined. Before the issue, I was not 100% happy with group. There were a lot of power drunk admins and cliques going on. It felt pretty much like I was back in high school again.

I was not a new blogger (been blogging for over 3 years when I joined the group), so I had an edge since I was not a new to whole blogging game. I saw a lot of wrong information being passed around and there was so much drama going on. My fall out finally happened with one of the power drunk admins, that felt threatened by me. He felt he was a guru in a particular niche and no one else was allowed to have an opinion on the niche, which I didn’t take lightly. A few words were exchanged and he finally kicked me out of the group which was fine by me 😂 . I was sick and tired of the continuous bickering going on there, so it was good to be kicked out.

My advice to anyone thinking of joining a Facebook Group is to find out how the admins are before you join if possible. So you avoid being in the wrong crowd.

Blogger thieves & how to deal with them image

Are you happy with the rules?

Check the rules and make sure you are happy with them. You can find most group’s rules pinned to the top. So have a read to make sure you are happy with the rules. And ask questions if you are not clear on any. Some group admins make the rules up as they go, which can be frustrating for many but the easiest way to deal with it is to leave if you are not happy with anything.

These are my golden rules for deciding on which Facebook groups to join. I have joined quite a few in the last year and I liked majority of them.
