OOTD: The Cape Trend

Fashion Blogger UK Image

Hey peeps. Happy Monday. I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day. I did, I received some lovely presents, and we had a nice Thai lunch and binged on Netflix after. We are currently watching Breaking Bad, currently on season 3, and loving it. It was the best weekend ever. I hope you had a great time.

On the other hand, the weather has been HORRID, for lack of a better word. It has been so windy and cold. I think February has been the coldest month this winter. I am so looking forward to spring, I am so over winter already, I can’t wait for March to be here. The only thing I will miss is the winter layering, I find it so easy to look stylish during winter. It is the best fashion season ever.

Luckily for me, it was cold, but bright enough to get some good shots so I took advantage of the weather, before heading out.

I have always loved the cape layering. I find capes so easy to style, and I think they look super chic over a lovely dress or top and skirt like I have on here. The good thing about capes as well is they can be worn as a light cover during spring and autumn months, so they are a good investment. I have quite a couple in my wardrobe, and I am so looking forward to styling them all differently. You will be seeing a lot of capes on Fashion and Style Police, so get ready to be inspired.

OOTD Leather Pants

Leather pants have always been on my radar but I have never really thought of having one until now. It was one of those pieces I had a love and hate relationship with, and don’t ask me why, because I don’t know.  Anyways, I got my hands on a pair of leather leggings some days ago and I have so many different looks planned out with it in mind, starting with this look.

Leather Leggings

I have now discovered the power of a good pair of leather leggings and I am never looking back.

New OOTD Leather Look

We are know the power of a good pair of leggings, and how much of a wardrobe staple they are. Show me a woman who doesn’t have multiple pairs of leggings and tights in her wardrobe, and I will show you a woman who doesn’t know how to make the most of her wardrobe budget. These pieces have the power to make anyone look stylish on a budget.

Leather pants are as much as a necessity as a normal cotton leggings, if not more. A pair of leather tights or leggings has the power to take a look from plain, casual to a classic killer outfit. Leather pants are figure flattering and so easy to style. I styled mine with a crop knit top, chelsea boots, and a faux fur coat. I also added a pair of sunnies because the sun gets into my eyes……

UK Tights Leather Leggings

Now a bit more about this stylish leather leggings, it is known as Max Mara Canto Faux Leather Leggings by UK Tights. It is faux so 93% Polyester
7% Elastane. It can be styled with pretty much anything, so dresses, crop tops, sweaters or jumpers. It can be styled up for a night out, or dressed down to the office. It is that versatile, I love it.

OOTD: How to Style the Ugg Boots

Outfit Post OOTD 1

I fell hopelessly in love with Ugg Boots in 2008. Yea I still remember the exact year, I am weird like that. I just started my Masters course at Bristol University, in the middle of winter, and I wanted something to keep me warm and look stylish at the same time. Ugg Boots are my guiltiest fashion pleasure, but I am not so guilty. I have four pairs now; blue, black, brown and grey, and I am not done yet. I find them so comfortable but yet stylish. The bridge between comfort and style, should be called UGG BOOTS, I am giving the brand free press here and I know it, but I don’t care, I love their boots sooooo much.

I love my uggs

It breaks my heart to hear some women say they find Ugg Boots too casual, not chic enough to wear outside the house, and I am like, WHAT? Don’t get me wrong, I know you can’t pair them with an evening dress or a suit, or wear them to a formal event, like a wedding or a dinner date, but Ugg Boots have their ow place. They can be worn on shopping days, running errands, school runs, and the likes.

They are great with a pair of skinnies or leggings, on those days when you want to look casual-chic. Here are some ways for you to style the Ugg Boots and some ways you shouldn’t:

  1. Wear with no make-up and a messy hair for the chilled out look.
  2. Do not wear with tracksuits. You will look trashy.
  3. They look great with chunky knit, and skinnies.
  4. You can pair your Ugg Boots with a long tunic or tux shirt, and show off your bare legs, if it is not too cold.

Ugg Boots are the winter staple for the fashion conscious, stylish woman, and I see they being around for a very long time, but still, they divide the fashion savvy. Many believe they’re best worn in the comfort of their home, while others like me see them as fashion staple.
