Style is all about personality, and Cate Blanchett has a lot of it. I have admired this pretty woman’s style for as long as I can remember. She is the definition of a true Style Icon, and I love everything outfit I see on her. This woman rocks my style world.

Every piece and accessory I see her rocking, looks so stylish on her. Cate Blanchett possess a strong personal style that sets her apart from those that merely follow fashion trends, and what they think is in vogue. This beauty sets the style bar so high.

Cate Blanchett is daring enough to mix various labels, designs, and periods when putting together the perfect statement outfits, and I love that about her. I love the fact that she is not afraid of wearing colour, and colour does look good on her.

Another thing I love about Cate Blanchett, apart from her incredible sense of fashion and style, is her striking pose. This woman knows her angles, and she knows how to strike the perfect pose. I have never spotted her not camera ready ever!

I would love to look like Cate when I grow up. She is like the style goddess to me. I adore her style and everything she represents. I am always eager to see what she has on , on the Red Carpet, and she never fails to impress me. Her confident approach to her personal style is so fascinating.

Cate Blanchett has proved time and time again, that being over 40 (she is 46 years old), is no barrier to being stylish. I may find her acting and movies boring, but her sense of style gives me life.

All hail the Queen of Style.

Product Review: Cucumber Sandwiches Exfoliating Body Scrub

Body Scrub Image

I love the name of this product, it sounds like a yummy meal, and it is a yummy exfoliating body scrub. I received this Cucumber Sandwiches Exfoliating Body Scrub SPAfternoon tea by Cognito Bath & Body some weeks ago, and I have used it quite a few times now. This is the first hand-made skin care product I have ever use so I was quite fascinated by it.

Here is the product description:

Cucumber Sandwiches is a beautiful scent – a light, fresh fragrance with hints of cucumber, apple and soft marine combined with floral notes of rose, white jasmine and waterlily on a base of cedar and vanilla.

These little beauties contain Sugar & fine Sea Salt; Rice Bran, Apricot Kernel & Sunflower Oils and Shea Butter & Coconut Oil. You just need to use once or twice a week to leave your skin feeling beautifully soft & moisturised.

The addition of Shea & Coconut Butter means that the scrub sets semi solid & the grainy bits don’t go pinging off everywhere! Less mess in your bath or shower!

Here are my thoughts on the product:

PROS

  1. I love the cute packaging and the creative name. This product is sure to get a lot of attention.
  2. I love the fresh fragrance. This body scrub leaves your skin and bathroom smelling beautifully.
  3. I applied the product in the shower, and rinsed off after some minutes. It did the job! It left my skin feeling and looking soft and silky smooth.
  4. I love the fact that this product was hand-made. I will be using more hand-made products because this is so effective.
  5. It is quite affordable at £11.99 for a 200ml PET jar.

CONS

  1. Like any other body scrub, it can leave a little mess, and also leave the shower room/bath a bit slippery so be careful.

I will recommend this Cucumber Sandwiches Exfoliating Body Scrub SPAfternoon tea to anyone needing a little home skin pampering. It does what it says on the jar.

Edie Campbell Covers British Vogue March 2016

Vogue-March-16_b

The 25-year-old British model; Edie Campbell is looking pretty on the cover of British Vogue March 2016, wearing a pink Gucci piece. This Spring cover is even prettier than her first British Vogue cover in April 2013.I remember that cover with her rocking a short bob not looking as stunning as this cover. She looks better with age, looks like she has found herself.

I am loving the whole pink charade going on here, so girly and cute, perfect for the upcoming season, and her outfit and pose looks cute alongside the background. This cover is sure to catch many eyes on the newsstands.

I still know little or nothing about Edie Campbell, apart from the fact that she models, and started modelling after appearing in a Vogue feature shot by Mario Testino. So I will hopefully be grabbing this issue, to learn a bit more about her.

Inside this issue,  Edie Campbell is pictured alongside her younger sister Olympia, a model and an actress, and reveals that the model twosome are firm friends, but it wasn’t always the case.

“It’s true. We did not get on as teenagers,” Campbell confesses. “Although I don’t think there is anything unusual in that, really – show me an easy teenager!

The other features in this issue I am interested in are – ‘Miracle Combinations – The Key to a Modern Wardrobe’, ‘Dress Up Dress Down – How to be Smart Now’. Vogue is like the fashion bible for many, so every once in a while, I like to grab an issue and see what the fuss is about, and see what the fashion gods say we should be wearing now.
