Spring Decorating Inspiration

With Spring coming up, I have started thinking about new fresh ways to refresh some of the rooms in our house. The Spring season makes me want to decorate; I think it has to do with the coolness of the weather and the rays of sunshine after having months of extreme cold temperatures. Plus, I love interior decoration so any reason to decorate really.

I have been snooping around for some home decorating inspiration, and I recently discovered some amazing homeware items available at the Altrincham Retail Park, I can’t wait to grab a few. This homeware spring/summer 2017 season is all about bold exotic prints and colours; pastel accessories will also be a home trend, so get ready to be in awe.

This T.K. Maxx Cream Floral Cushion is a true beauty, I am so in love with it. The floral design is so beautiful. It would look amazing on my black sofa, and the price at £12.99 is fabulous as well. Some of my cushions have gone super flat, and need to be changed, so I can clearly see myself grabbing of these cushions.

The beauty of all these items apart from the fact that they are amazing, is that they are all £20 and under, which makes them affordable for many. And they are all within reach for me, I can grab them easily at Altrincham Retail Park, which is just a few minutes from where I am.

Product Review: Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Oil

I love my oils, especially in the colder months. It feels amazing using a nourishing oil after a warm shower. Apart from it feeling so good, my skin also thanks me for it.

In my pursuit of a nourishing oil, after running out of my Bio Oil, I came across this New Garnier Ultimate Blends Body Nourishing Oil in my local Boots Store, and decided to give it a go.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. Beautiful compact packaging.
  2. It is a non sticky oil.
  3. It is very affordable at £3.99 for a 150ml bottle.
  4. You can get this nourishing oil in most stores – Boots, Superdrug eBay, Amazon, Asda, and so on.
  5. It contains virgin olive oil, which is great for the skin.
  6. I love the fragrance, it is very light and fresh.
  7. The oil is absorbed into my skin very quickly.

CONS

  1. This is for body use only, and should not be applied on the face. I always have to remember this fact, and it can be a bit of a hassle. I rather have an oil, I can apply from head to toe.

Overall, I would recommend this Garnier Ultimate Blends Body Nourishing Oil to anyone in need of a nourishing oil, especially if you have a very dry skin, but I don’t see myself buying this particular oil again because of the inconvenience of not being able to use it on my face.

Eva Longoria in Julea Domani Camel Peplum Dress

Hey Fashion Lovers! How are we? Today, I bring to you this beautiful woman – Eva Longoria; she is wearing a camel peplum dress by Julea Domani. This dress features a wrap silhouette, buckle accents, and a midi length. Her stylish matching camel sandals are by Manolo Blahnik.

I love this look on Eva Longoria. I think she looks amazing. I am a lover of peplum designs. I think they look great on almost every woman, and this piece right here is a stunner. Eva has a lovely figure, and this Julea Domani peplum dress shows it off perfectly. I also really the camel colour, it looks beautiful next to her golden skin.

The only issue I have is the fact that it is a midi length. I usually prefer my lengths to be a mini or a maxi, I never really know what to do with a midi length. Plus I believe the length never looks good on me (blame it on my 5″2 height). But I think Eva pulled this off nicely. She is also a petite woman, (also 5″2, so we are petite buddies), but I think she nailed this look nicely because she went for a similar shade with her sandals, so it looks like full-on maxi look, if you get what I mean. If she wore a different shade of sandals, this look may have been ruined.

The other issue I have is the price of the piece, it currently retails at $435 (£350), which is a lot to cough off for 1 dress by an “unknown designer”. It is a beautiful piece, but I won’t spend that much on a dress. And I am sure Eva Longoria didn’t spend that much either.
