My Dream Car

I am currently in the process of sorting out my driving license. I have been on this driving lesson fiasco for a very long time now, and I am looking forward to sorting it out for good.

I have had many driving lessons, passed my theory tesr, taken a practical driving test whilst heavily pregnant. Failed the test, and now I have to re-take my theory test (it is over 2 years), which means I have to start the whole process again. I am so sick and tired of the all process, I am eager to be done with it, so I can get my dream car.

Recently, I have been thinking a lot of what sort of car I would love to get for once I pass my test. Maybe it’s s because I recently came across this Cars of the 1980s Film and TV infographic by Vertu Lease Cars. I have been day dreaming of my dream car ever since.

There are many cars I would like to get, but 1 in particular has topped the list for years now, and that is a Mini Cooper. The car from The Simpsons, Homer’s Sedan, kind of reminds me of a good old Mini Cooper. I like my car to be efficient, compact but big enough, and stylish. A Mini Cooper ticks all these boxes and more. I think it is a super sleek car that would exceed all my expectations!

The Simpson’s family Sedan car in The Simpsons TV show reminds me of a Mini Cooper every time I see it. I guess the front of car is quite similar to that of a Mini Cooper, or maybe I have just watched too many episodes of The Simpsons. The show is so addictve, I used to be a huge fan of it back in the day.

What is your dream car? Are you driving it? Are you a fan of a Mini Cooper or Homer’s pink Sedan car? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below, let’s get talking.

What to Wear on a First Date

I am happy to be off the dating market. I have been off for almost 10 years now and it’s been brilliant. The truth is, I was not a huge fan of the whole dating “thingy”, I have never been a fan of anything new, and the dating world is all about “The New”, it felt so exhausting most of the time.

I am sure many women and men would agree with me on how draining the whole dating stuff is, but date we must! After all, love is a BEAUTIFUL thing.

Thanks to technology, dating is a lot easier now in 2017 than it was 10 years ago. The majority of the dating websites we have now were not available in my dating years. The most we had back then was social media – Facebook/Hi5, and those were still in the developing phases. Who remembers Hi5 by the way? Does anyone still go on it?

I am happy to see how much the online dating industry has evolved. It is super easy to meet someone you are compatible with online now thanks to the many dating websites available. But having a date is one thing, and what to wear on a date is another. Many women usually struggle with what to wear on a first date. They usually don’t want to show too much skin and send the wrong messages or come across as too keen, but they want to look attractive at the same time. The good news is that there are now many great products like pheromones for women available to help you attract the kind of attention you want and get your groove back.

I have featured a couple of outfits I think would be great outfit ideas for a first date. Here are three ideas  –

A Sparkly Look

This is a great outfit idea for a dinner sort of first date. It is a stylish/dressy look and just shows the right amount of skin for a summer evening. Do you agree?

A  Relaxed Look

Spring Style Image

For a relaxed first date at the cinema or lunch in a restaurant, this outfit would befit the part. It is stylish but not over the top. I think it would be an excellent choice for a first date in a relaxed location.

A Casual Look

This outfit would be a fantastic choice for a casual/daytime date. It would suit a lunch date or any chilled location.

Can you remember what you had on for any of your first dates? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. I love reading them.

Thanks for reading as always. Have a lovely day.

Eats from the Streets Food Festival

Who doesn’t love good food? I know I do. A delicious meal with a glass of wine is a perfect way to end a busy day!

Being a mother has made me embrace food more. Before motherhood, I could go a whole morning without breakfast or an afternoon without lunch. I could be too busy being busy, that I would forget to stop to feed the belly. But motherhood has completely changed all that. I am now fully responsible for feeding 2 fussy toddlers 24/7, which is no easy feat. The good news is that I know what they like and how they like it, which makes the meal times a lot more fun.

I have been busy testing my hands on a new recipe – Spaghetti Bolognese with Greek Yoghurt. I am collaborating with Broughton Shopping Centre Cheshire on their Eats from the Streets Festival to bring to you this yummy dish. Broughton Shopping Centre Cheshire will bring street food flavours from all over the world to Flintshire, Cheshire, this weekend (17th & 18th June) with its Eats from the Streets pop-up foodie festival.

Sweet tasting food vendors from all over the world would serve up a whole host of cuisines from Thai delicacies to cupcakes and cake-topped milkshakes. The Street food stalls will be serving up near Broughton between 11am and 6pm on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June, and it promises to be a delicious experience, so aim to be there!

In my preparation for this pop-up foodie festival, I made this Spaghetti Bolognese with Greek Yoghurt dish. I decided to go for this dish as it is one of my regulars, the kiddies love it so much. It is one of their favourites, so I make it quite regularly.

This recipe was so yummy (if I may say so myself). It is my first time adding some Greek Yoghurt to Spaghetti Bolognese, and I love the creamy flavour it added to the dish. I can see myself making my Spaghetti Bolognese like this going forward.
I am really forward to seeing what the food vendors cook up at the Eats from the Streets Food Festival this weekend at Broughton Shopping Centre in Cheshire. I can’t wait to taste some more good food.
You can find out more about the event on Broughton Shopping Centre’s Facebook page and the Twitter account.
