What to Wear When You Work From Home

What do you wear when you work from home? This is one question many self-employed/freelancers ask themselves over and over again. As many of you already know, I work from home and have done so for the past 5 years. Working home alone means I get to wear what I like, when I like. I could decide to work in my nightwear all day if I choose to, or I could work from the comfort of my bed in my loungewear. The fashion choice is mine and I love that about my job. It is liberating.

I like to get out of my sleepwear everyday, even though I work from home. The Kiddies started primary school last September, so the school run is now a morning and afternoon routine. I love it because it gets me out of the house everyday, and I like to be presentable when I step out of the house. Which is why I always take a morning shower and get dressed every morning. I like to be dressed and ready for work by 9:30am almost everyday.

Here are 2 things I have in mind when I am picking out what to wear when working from home –

Comfort

The first thing I have in mind when it comes to styling my working from home outfit is comfort. You will easily find me wearing a pair of leggings or joggers depending on the weather. I like causal comfy tops as well, and dresses are my preferred option in the summer months. Comfy clothing allow me move around freely and stylishly.

Material

Many people are too lazy to get out of their sleepwear. Others love the feel of their pyjamas on their skin, and live in them. I get why many find their pyjamas so comfy, they sleep and work in them. I find mine comfy too! Which is why I like go for pieces with material that feels as comfortable as my sleepwear. You usually won’t catch me wearing lace or any complicated/overly dressy material.

Product Review – EyeBuyDirect Glasses

I am shortsighted, so I am never without my contact lenses and glasses. I usually wear my contact lenses but on some days, I like to wear a regular pair of glasses. Which is why I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to try out EyeBuyDirect Glasses.

For those who have never heard of EyeBuyDirect, it is a one stop, online optical shop founded by Roy Hessel. He founded the company on the belief that quality eyewear should be accessible and affordable for everyone. EyeBuyDirect as the name implies, ensures your glasses are affordable and accessible by cutting out the middle men. The pairs of glasses go straight to their customers from the factory, which means the savings is passed on to the customers.

I started off with a lovely demo box including some product samples from some of EyeBuyDirect popular ranges.  It was a box filled with 3 frames – sunglasses, eyeglasses and digital protection lenses. There was also an eye mask included, which is so thoughtful. I love using that.

I knew I had to try the frames and lenses for myself once I tried the demo box. And I am glad I did.

I found the whole process of ordering on the website very easy.  The website is customer friendly and so easy to navigate. It was such a straight forward process. Once I decided on the frames I wanted, all I needed to do was put in my prescription and select the type of lens I wanted.

Here are the frames I got –

EyeBuyDirect Sequence Charred Quartz Eyeglasses

I adore the design of this stunning frame. The subtle lines of this premium Sequence medium-sized frame will enhance all of my features. I also like the stud accents on the hinges and front. I think it is an edgy cool frame and I am super in love with it.

For the lenses, I went for a Polarized – Brown 60% as I wanted it to work as a sunshade as well for sunny days. In the summer months, if I am unable to wear my contact lenses for whatever reason, I usually end up squirting in my regular glasses, which is a pain. I am glad all that is now in the past with this stunning pair.

EyeBuyDirect Aura Clear Jade Eyeglasses For Women

This stunning Aura Clear Jade Eyeglasses For Women is definitely one of my favourites pairs. I love the marine blue colour. The wayfarer shape is a beauty, and so are the double stud accents at the frame corners and temples.

This is definitely a premium/top quality frame. I opted for Color: Transitions® Adaptive – Gray lenses. These are photochromic lenses, which means the shade of lenses are clear indoors and darken automatically outdoors. This is my first time trying this type of lenses and I am loving it so far. It is just what I need in my prescription glasses collection.

I also had the opportunity to get 2 extra frames for some family members, and they are loving too. Both frames are of great quality and they look very stylish. They also come with photochromic transition lenses. Here they frames are –
