Drew Barrymore Covers Marie Claire June 2016

June-Cover-No-Barcode-HIGH-RES

The stunning and talented Drew Barrymore is on the cover of Marie Claire June 2016 cover, looking all shades of beautiful. I casually came across this cover on Twitter, and it caught my eye immediately. I haven’t seen Drew in a while, so this cover was a pleasant surprise. I love the fact that she is looking so good.I am loving the hair and the makeup, the bold lips wins, and the floral print she has on is so pretty.

I can clearly see myself grabbing a copy of this issue. I have loved Drew Barrymore since I saw her in the movie – ET. I have followed her amazing career since then and she never fails to impress me. She is a terrific actress, extremely talented. I am a huge fan, can you tell?

A couple of the features on the cover look promising. I would obviously want to read about everything Drew Barrymore has to say about building a business empire; I see myself building one, and I need every advice I can get. The Beauty Looks You Would Love and Summer Fashion Fever look like interesting articles. I bet they would be good reads. I love reading anything fashion or beauty related, information overload does not exist in my dictionary.

COVER-FEATURE

I am loving this pose a lot. It would have been interesting to see how this would look on the cover. In this issue, Drew Barrymore will also be discussing fame and fortune, friends, making an effort and her perfect twenty-four hours in the interview, so it sounds like an interesting interview. However, what I would love to know is how she maintains her youthful appearance. She could pass for a 30-year-old any day, and she is in her forties.

What do you think of Drew Barrymore? Are you a fan? Will you be buying this issue? Drop me a comment, lets chat.

Thanks for reading and have an amazing bank holiday weekend, if you are in the UK.

OOTD: Spring/Summer Outfit

Looking Summery Image

The weather this weekend at my end went from one extreme to the other. It was nice and sunny on Saturday, and I made the most of it. I went for a swim, had outfits photos snapped, went for long walks and had a few errands sorted. Then came Sunday, and it was like we were back in winter again. It was very cold and wet, rained pretty much all day, and then we even hailstorm in the evening. It was a proper mental weather, you won’t believe the days were just next to each other, with the very different weather.

Speaking of weather, and how we are in meant to be in spring, getting ready for summer, but it still feels like winter on some days, we can start rocking our spring/summer pieces and accessories now. As long as you layer right on the chilly days, you would be fine. If not half the year may go by with you still rocking your autumn/winter pieces.

Spring Look

The good way to start slowly introducing your spring/summer wardrobe is to start with your shoes. It may not be warm enough for summer dresses and skirts, but you can get away with rocking sandals and summer shoes now, as long as you style them properly. There are so many amazing summer shoe collections in stores now, Kurt Geiger has so many stylish additions available this season, and this shoe candy I am rocking is one of them, so keep an eye on their new shoe collection section.

Spring Outfit

I adore the slightly curved small heel, I found it super comfortable. The ankle straps and the glossy khaki upper with the blue detail at the back, finishes it off beautifully. It is a shoe for both day and night, perfect choice!

Charm Bracelets Image

This Marilyn Heart Charm Bracelet by Corbico Jewellery London is the cutest piece ever! The three gold colour bracelets with heart dangle charms is from the Dainty Collection, and it comes in three colours; rose gold, gold and rhodium, and looks amazing. They can be take you from day to night effortlessly. I will be wearing these gorgeous pieces for as long as possible.

How I Grew My Blog Following to 29,000 & Counting

I have had a couple of people ask me how I grew my blog following so I decided to write-up a post explaining how I did, what blog promotions worked for me, and what tips you should consider trying. Grab a cuppa, and enjoy the read…….

Christmas Night In

Posting Regularly

I blog pretty much everyday, multiple times on some days, and that helps improve my blog following, as there is always a new post to attract more eyeballs to my blog, and most of those eyeballs usually stay on as followers. I know posting so regularly doesn’t work for some bloggers, but it works brilliantly for me.

Posting a Varied Content

Fashion and Style Police started off as a niche blog. It was all fashion back in the day, but now, it is 60% fashion, 20% beauty, 10% lifestyle and 10% blogging tips, at the moment, and I love it this way. I enjoy writing about various topics, I find it interesting and engaging, and it helps attract more blog readers who eventually become followers.

My blog followers follow me for various reasons. Some enjoy reading anything I publish, some follow me to get updates on my outfit and fashion posts, some are here for the product reviews and beauty posts, while some follow to get heads up on my lifestyle/blogging posts. My varied posts bring in more readers, as people are usually interested in various topics. Running a varied blog gets me more followers. It may not work for niche blogs, but it works fine for me.

Facebook Ad Promotions

I have previously written about how Facebook ad promotions helped grow my Facebook blog page, and it is still growing. I currently have over 16,000 fans on my page. I have had this page since I set up the blog over 3 years ago. However, once I started to run monthly Facebook ads, I started to see a spike in my followers. The beauty of Facebook ad promotions is that you can set your budget to as little as £3, and target a specific audience. For as little as £7, I can get over 500 new likes, once I target my audience right.

When targeting, I look out for people who will have interest in the kind of blog posts I write. It works like magic for me.

Read, Comment and Follow Other Blogs

I read, comment and follow loads of blogs, and many reciprocate. However, I should say I only follow blogs/bloggers I truly have an interest in. I don’t do follow for follow, I don’t expect every blogger I follow to follow me back, but I do unfollow those bloggers that do not respond to genuine tweets or comments, I find that so rude.

Being Social Online

I try to engage with my followers online. I find that the more I engage on social media, especially on Twitter and Instagram, the more followers I get. Being social in a good way, does help.

So there you have it, some of the ways I have grown my blog following. How have you grown yours? What tips have worked for you? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

Also, my book – How to Cash In as a Blogger, is currently FREE on Amazon for the next 48 hours, so start downloading.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely week ahead.
