Natural Hair Transition Update

natural-hair-look-image

I hope I am not confusing you all with my many hairstyles. Well, this is my natural hair, I took these photos some weeks ago. I am currently transitioning to my natural hair texture, so no relaxers or chemicals whatsoever. But I still make use of my many wigs, so you will always see me photographed wearing 1. I can easily give Wendy Williams a run for her money when it comes to wigs. I am slowly growing my collection, and I am loving it. I find them so easy to style and maintain. I like the fact that I can yank it off as soon as I close my front door, or when I need to go swimming. It feels liberating!

Back to my natural hair transition, it has been great so far. My afro hair is growing beautifully and I even have my baby curls back, yayy!

I have not had the big chop yet and I am still not sure when or if I would have it. I guess I will grow my hair some more, and see how it goes. I am currently happy with how healthy my hair looks. I use African Pride Shea Butter Leave in Conditoner and growth oil, T444z Hair Food and Shea Moisture products, and I think they are doing a great job in keeping my afro hair shiny and healthy.

I very happy with the state of my hair but it is a lot of work to get the hair to be this way. I can see why many start and give up along the way. The endless moisturising can be very exhausting. But the outcome is definitely worth the stress.

I will be showing off my natural hair in a few weeks, just so I can document and show you all how my hair is doing.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Have a lovely weekend.

DP_Tour_Headshot_4-p18oq2jv4alhi1dfbujk1h5c18lh

If you missed the last Female Body shape post, catch up here.

This week is all about the Balcony shaped woman. This woman has narrow hips and a full bust so the upper body stands out. This is an extremely rare body shape to have naturally but it is quite common in today’s celebrity world. The Balcony shape is also known as the Strawberry body shape Someone once asked why are women disappearing? He will need to ask the likes of Katie Price, Chloe Sims, Wendy Williams, Dolly Parton and Elizabeth Hurley.

It usually takes surgery, iron will and determination to have a Balcony shape and it is quickly becoming a must-have body shape thanks to the famous celebrities.

Here are the DOs and the DONTs for the Balcony shaped woman:

DOs

  1. Be prepared to sacrifice the tasty desserts and that piece of chocolate cake.
  2. Wear sunnies as often as you can. They will draw attention away from your breasts.
  3. Go for bias-cut dresses to show off the fullness of your breast and your narrow hips.
  4. Fuller skirts and wide leg trousers will balance out the shape beautifully.

DONTs

  1. Avoid wearing skinny jeans and flats shoes. This draws attention to your bust.
  2. Avoid double-breasted outfits, your are already double-breasted!
  3. Shoulder pads and tapering trousers are to be avoided.
  4. Avoid halter-neck pieces as well.

What do you think of this bodyshape? Is it must-have for you? Speak your heart, don’t bite your tongue.

Instagram Picture Of The Week – Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner

Instagram

Kendall’s Instagram Caption: @KendallJenner: she looks up to ME #BalmainArmy

I remember watching The Wendy Williams Show some days ago and there was this talk about Kim Kardashian being jealous of her little sister – Kendall Jenner. Kendall is becoming very popular of late due to her modelling career, she has walked the runaway for the top brands in the fashion industry, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Givenchy and many others. The spotlight is on her now kind of and knowing Kim Kardashian, from what we see on the reality shows, there is a possibility of some envy breeding there.

Kim Kardashian seems to like the attention she gets and I don’t think she will be too happy to share but I am happy for Kendall Jenner. Her modelling career has taken off and it is looking very promising. Everyone is talking about her for all the right reasons which is good. Well done to her.
