The Wooden Watch Trend

Many years ago, there was nothing like a wooden watch on my Style radar. I only started seeing them around a few years ago, and then I started to pay attention to the trend. I think the wooden watch trend is going to be around for a very long time, if not forever.

I find wooden watches very minimal and stylish. They speak volume in a low voice, and I love that about the watches. It does not bling bling, but it screams quality in a minimal way.

I have had my eye on some quality wooden watches for some time now, but not had the opportunity to own any. But I plan on changing that real soon. My love for quality accessories is a biggie for me, so I like to keep things fresh.

Here are a few wooden watches by Tense Watch, I am currently lusting after at the moment –

This Vermont Wooden Watch from the Hybrid Collection is an amazing piece. I love the gold dial and wooden design. It is such a beauty. Although this is a men’s watch, I like it! I tend to like men’s watches more than women’s watches for some odd reason. I guess you can say, I like to have my watches looking big, bold and masculine.

 

Hudson

This Hudson watch is another beautiful piece. It has a wood and metal case on a wood and metal band, and a circular face. I think it is a lovely looking everyday kind of watch. I love the walnut and silver design so much. It is also a men’s watch but I don’t care, I love it!

 

Hampton

This unisex Hampton watch is a true beauty. I love the simplicity of it. I also love the fact that is made from 100% recycled or reclaimed wood, just like all the other Tense wooden watches. They are all also hypoallergenic and adjustable in size, which is fab for people like me with tiny wrists, but would still want to rock oversized watches.

Destinations to Visit this Summer & What to Wear

After what feels like years of waiting, we are finally approaching the brink of summer. Soon, it will be the season where we can wear dresses, shorts, sandals and all of our other summer pieces without fear of catching a cold or getting rained on. If you also live in the UK, you are sure to understand what a big deal that is!

As if that wasn’t reason enough to love summer, this is also the best time of year for exploration and travel. For those of you who are yet to decide on a summer holiday destination yet, here are two completely different options that are likely to pique your interest as well as what to wear while you’re there.

Paris

What To Do:

Whether you’re travelling alone, with friends or with your significant other, Paris is always a good idea. After all, who would want to miss out on the chance to sip coffee and munch on croissants while basking in the glory of Notre Dame, the Eifel Tower or the Louvre? Plus, for the shoppers out there The City of Love is also home to a variety of stores including intimate boutiques as well as some of the top designer retailers in the world such as Chanel, Sessun and Cancan.

 

What To Wear:

Parisian style is based entirely on the idea of remaining chic yet tailored; stylish but with a decidedly conservative edge. Usually, French socialites tend to adhere to the “no more than three colours” rule and opt for neutral tones over bright, flashy hues. Fortunately, it is easier to recreate this style than you might think. All you need is some well-fitting ankle-length jeans, some tidy pumps and a shirt with a feminine edge to emulate Parisian elegance like a pro.

What To Do:

For those of you who fancy going further afield this summer, how could Las Vegas possibly be ignored? In fact, if you have a bit of a wild side there are few places that will suit you better than this not-so-humble Nevada desert town. Las Vegas is home to The Strip after all: 4.2 miles packed full of hotel resorts, entertainment venues and restaurants.
