4 Incredibly Thoughtful Gifts

I love giving and receiving incredibly thoughtful gifts. I like the idea that a loved one took out the time to think of a perfect gift for me. The price tag rarely ever matters, although I must confess, I do like a bit of luxury, and they tend to be expensive, but then again, it is the thought that really counts.

I have recently come across a few online retail shops that sell some of the most thoughtful gifts ever. One of these stores is Uncommon Goods. I have been busy browsing the websites for some unique gifts for men, as well as other gifts. I have a few events coming up, so I need to get some amazing gifts sorted as soon as possible.

Uncommon Goods is all about products that contain recycled components. You will never catch them selling products containing leather, feathers or fur, as they are committed to selling products that do no harm to people or animals, which I think is brilliant.

Here are some thoughtful gifts that caught my eye –

I saved the most thoughtful gift idea for last, with this stunning personalised cutting board. I think it would be a great personalised wedding present idea. I would love to have this in my kitchen. I have a kitchen space it would fit in nicely.

I love this Kissing Lovers Sculpture. The tender soapstone sculpture hand-carved by Shona artisans in Zimbabw, is a beautiful art, shaped from a single stone. This sculpture illustrates the unbreakable bonds of love and it would make a great anniversary gift.

Careers in Fitness that Pay Well

I am all about living your life to the fullest and following your passion when it comes to a career. Show me a very happy person, and I can bet the person has a great career. Life and work go hand in hand, and that is why I always write about freelance/self-employed topics and share my freelance experience, because I truly love what I do, so I can’t help myself. I also write about them so often because I hope they would inspire someone out there to pursue their dreams and not give up without a fight.

There are so many careers that interest a wide range of people and pay well, but today, I am going to focus on Careers in Fitness that pay well because the fitness industry is currently booming.

A Personal Trainer

A personal trainer is one of the most popular career choices in the health and fitness industry, and I am not surprised. Personal trainers are in demand now more than ever. Back in the day, only the rich and famous could afford the luxury of having a personal trainer, but that is no longer the case. We the common people can now afford a personal trainer if needed because there are various affordable packages now available privately and in gyms.

A personal trainer has the ability to earn up to £60,000 a year, thanks to the current demand. I guess that explains why many people are now interested in studying Personal Trainer Courses. The potential financial rewards, the easiness of self-employment and the job satisfaction that can be had, make it a popular career choice.

Aerobatic Instructors

An aerobics instructor, also known as an exercise to music instructor, delivers group exercise classes that are performed to music. This career choice is an excellent starting point in the fitness industry, with the pay range being between £25 and £50 per hour, depending on experience, establishments they teach in and how many participants are in their classes or what time of day the classes are.

 

Nutritionist

According to the National Careers Service, a Nutritionist use the scientific knowledge of food to give information and advice about the effects of diet and nutrition on health and wellbeing. They usually hand in hand with the fitness trainer, in the fitness industry.  A Nutritionist has the ability to earn up to £50,000 a year.

Product Review – Rimmel London Ultimate Summer Glow Collection

Another week, another product review post. Rimmel London is one of my favourite drug store makeup brands. I love the fact that their products are quality and very affordable. I remember spending a good portion of my pocket-money on Rimmel London while I was at the university, and it is still also one of favourite makeup brands today.

Rimmel London Radiance Brick Multi-national Shimmer Powder

I find bronzing powders very useful, especially in the summer months. I find that they create a stunning bronze look, which I really like. I got the 002 medium shade. Here are my thoughts.

An ultra-fine, multi-tonal bronzing powder for soft shimmer effects and a glamorous, healthy looking glow.

  1. I like the fact that this shimmer powder comes in various tones.
  2. I like the sun-kissed look the powder creates.
  3. It is a multi-tasking product, it can be used for contour & highlight.
  4. It is affordable at £5.99.

Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette

This clever combination of 3 powder shades – a highlighter, shading brush and blush is smart and handy to have around. I got the 002 coral glow shade (comes in 2 shades) and I am loving it so far.

PROS

  1. I like the fact that it is a multi-tasking palette. Why carry 3 kits when you can just take 1!
  2. I found the shades easy to blend.
  3. The shades look great on my skintone.

Rimmel London Insta Duo Contour Stick

This new Duo Contour Stick was also included in the pack I received from Rimmel. I reviewed this Contour Stick some weeks ago, so you can catch up on that. I think it is a fantastic contour kit. It is so easy to use and has made my makeup application a lot faster.

Rimmel London Sunshimmer Instant Tan

Now the jury is still out as to whether women of colour use a tan. I have personally never thought of using a tan until I received this Sunshimmer Instant Tan by Rimmel London. I have used it a few times now and I like the highlighted skin tone it gives me.
