October Outfits 2016

I can’t believe we are in November already. Where has 2016 gone? This year has been the fastest in history. I am really struggling to keep up with the speed.

October was an incredibly busy month for Fashion and Style Police. I have been busy with life, keeping the site updated, and freelancing. But I am not complaining. I love being busy.

Here is a quick of outfits in October –

Styling A White Shirt

I really enjoyed putting this look together. It was a style challenge for Cheshire Oaks, and it was a lot of fun. This is a great formal/office outfit. Great for meetings with clients and interviews, when you need to look like professional; you know what you are doing, lol. The highlight for this look was the Guess Handbag. It is loved by many and I can see why. It made the outfit POP!

A Little Black Dress

This little black dress outfit was another popular post in October, and it is easy to see why. I love all the pieces I styled together here. The Phase Eight lace black dress is the prettiest dress ever. I love how delicate it looks. It is clearly the highlight of this look, followed closely by the Dorothy Perkins blue suede shoes and the Wallis coral blazer. Another great formal outfit idea.

After a series of formal outfits, this casual outfit was most welcomed by many. I like how chic and casual it looks. It was a day for running errands and meeting up with friends, and this outfit easy and comfy to run around in. The TOMS and Guess jumper were my highlights for this outfit.

What do you think of all 3 looks? Which is your favourite and why?

I am loving the autumn season and layering trend going on. It is my favourite time of the year as it is not too hot or too cold, and only rains on few occasions in Cheshire, so I am loving it at the moment. But the layering trend is my favourite part of autumn. I wore this outfit some days ago. I had errands to run and some friends to see, and I wanted a very casual chic look; this is what I came up with.

Many of these items are new additions to my autumn wardrobe. I got the sweater, shirt, shoes and bag at my shopping event at Cheshire Oaks some weeks ago. And I love that they all complement my existing wardrobe already. That is 1 thing I look out for when shopping. I always have a plan and a list of pieces and accessories I need to fill in the gaps in my wardrobe. I don’t do impulse shopping. Apart from the fact that it is bad for your bank balance or credit card statement as the case might it, it also messes up your wardrobe. You end of having many items you can’t pair together, which means they can be left unworn with the tags on in your wardrobe for years to come.

Shopping smart means I never run out of outfits to wear, regardless of the season. And that is extremely important as a Fashion Blogger. It would be ridiculous for me to go shopping every week (even if I could afford to) to show off a new outfit, but thanks to having a capsule wardrobe, every outfit looks new.

September Outfits 2016

September was an interesting month of outfits on Fashion and Style Police. It was a transition month to Autumn Fashion and I loved it. As you all know, I am a big fan of Autumn Fashion with the layers and comfy pieces, so I really enjoyed styling various looks and photographing them. It was my way of saying goodbye to Summer Fashion and getting myself and wardrobe ready for Autumn.

I didn’t have the opportunity to post as many outfits as I would have wanted because September was a very busy month for me in my real life as well as my online life. But I got away with posting 3 different looks.

Here is a brief recap for those who missed them:

OOTD: It Feels Like Autumn

I had this white dress in my wardrobe for weeks before I actually wore it. I usually shy away from buying white pieces because I use to think they were not investment pieces. But I have sort of fallen in love with white, and I blame it on my Fashion Blogger friend – Moji of Moj n Touch, she makes white look so good.

I found this outfit easy to style. I was naturally drawn to the pieces and accessories. It took zero effort.

OOTD: A Blogger Event Outfit

I wore this outfit to the Street Style Bus Event some weeks ago, and I told you all about why I wear black to press events and all. So if you missed any of the posts, hit the links and catch up.

This outfit was easy to style as well. I am a sucker for animal prints (like you may have already noticed) when styled correctly. I have quite a few in my wardrobe.

OOTD: A Wedding Guest Outfit

So I saved the best for last. My favourite look in September and the most viewed outfit post is this Wedding Guest Outfit right here. I really enjoyed styling this look. It took me out of my comfort zone and I liked the finished look. This wedding guest outfit inspired a lot of my readers and I was very pleased to hear that.

Which is your favourite outfit of all?
