5 ways to boost mental wellbeing image

Stay physically active

Staying physically active is so important to both physical and mental health. It is so easier to find yourself driving everywhere but if you go for long walks every week instead of driving everywhere, your body and mind will thank you for it. Physical and mental health need activities to stay healthy and this is why it is important to stay physically active. So think runs, walks, dancing, exercise, and anything that gets you moving.

Mindfulness

Staying mindful is another way to boost mental well-being. Mindfulness is all about focusing on the present and not dwelling on the past or focusing too much on the future. Being mindful helps us stay grateful which does wonders for our mental health. If you struggle to stay mindful, try meditating to keep your mind focused on the present. Eat right

Eating a balanced diet helps us mentally and physically. There are diets that are better than others for different people so it is important to pay close attention to your body and feed it what it needs. I have been a vegetarian for a few years now and I can’t imagine eating how and what I used to eat before. Listen to your body and eat right.

Avoid toxic people

Now, this is a big one. We have billions of people on this planet and a good number of them are just toxic. If someone is not good for your mental well-being it is important you stay far away from them. There are so many lovely people around and all you have to do is find the right people for you and avoid the wrong ones. This tip alone would improve your self-esteem and do wonders for your state of mind.

Learn something new

The mind is so strong yet so delicate. It is important you feed it something new every now and again to keep it healthy. You can do this by learning a new skill, trying new things, reading books, and more. There are loads to do with such little time, so use the time you have wisely. Instead of scrolling through the endless tweets on Twitter, grab a good self-help book and soak it all in.

Food Supplements are Autumn/Winter Essentials

Autumn is in full swing and I can smell winter already! I tend to catch a cold and other cold-like symptoms, thanks to the bugs flying around this season. So I like to take extra care of myself once the chill is in the air, which is now. I still remember how badly I suffered in January when I caught  a flu for the first time. I won’t want that to ever happen again, so I have taken a flu jab and I plan to be on top of all my food supplements.

Some days ago, I received some supplements and I plan to make sure I take them all religiously. The problem I usually have is, I get excited about a new food supplement, take it for a few days/weeks, and then stop taking it. But I am hoping this won’t be the case with these here.

BioCare Food Supplements

EyeCare Plus is an innovative blend of vitamin A, minerals, bilberry, ginkgo biloba, lutein & grapeseed extracts in a capsule. Also includes zinc, astaxanthin & zeaxanthin. Vitamin A, bilberry and lutein contribute to the maintenance of normal vision

Vitamin D is so very important, especially in the autumn/winter months when we don’t get enough of it naturally. The UK government now recommends that everyone in the UK takes a vitamin D supplement daily during the autumn and winter months. So this is now a health essential, and this is where this Vega Vitamin D Range comes into play.

The Benefits of Drinking Green Tea

I have heard a lot of good things about green tea, and I have been dying to try some for myself. So I was over the moon when I got the opportunity to try some Dream Matcha Green Tea the other day. I have been having a good cup of green tea everyday now. The benefits of drinking green tea are too numerous to mention here, but my aim is to touch on the main benefits.

When I think of Nootropics, the first thing that comes to mind is Green Tea. Green Tea leaves are full of amazing benefits and it is certainly more highly recommended than any beverage. I have always known green tea to be full of health benefits, but I was blown away by the amazing benefits a cup of freshly brewed green tea could do for me.

I have been loving this Dream Matcha Tea. The green tea comes as an extremely fine, bright green powder. It has a silky smooth taste, which is great. I am a huge fan of this brand  of Green Tea.

If you are contemplating trying some green tea, here are some of the main benefits of drinking green tea.

Helps with weight loss

Green tea contains no calories. Aside from that, green tea is known to have a higher dose of antioxidants than that contained in vegetables. The antioxidants in green tea called catechin polyphenols help to speed up the rate of your metabolism and burn your calories faster. That’s what makes it extremely effective in weight loss.

Lowers cholesterol levels

Most fatty foods contain what is called LDL cholesterol, which is also known as “bad cholesterol”. Bad cholesterol is known to block the linings of your arteries and if not kept under check, can lead to several cardiovascular diseases like stroke or heart attack.

Tannins found in green tea can reduce the level of bad cholesterol in your blood. What this does is to clear the buildup of cholesterol. Green tea also reduces the rate at which cholesterol is absorbed into your system.

Ensures a healthy heart

Cardiovascular disease can be really scary as it presents no symptoms especially at the early stages. Drinking green tea regularly helps to promote a healthy heart. It does this with the flavinoids contained in the green tea. The flavinoids also help in lowering your blood pressure. For those who are suffering from a heart condition or who have experienced a heart attack, green tea could help you recover faster.

Relieves you from stress

One of the most common problems we face in the world is stress. When not controlled, stress can cause a lot of harm. Green tea does help relieve stress, which is fab!

Promotes healthy skin

Green tea does wonders for the skin, thanks to its antioxidants. It contains anti-ageing properties that help to minimize the signs of wrinkles or fine lines.

What do you think of Green Tea? Are you a fan? Have you tried Dream Matcha Green Tea?
