September Outfits 2016

September was an interesting month of outfits on Fashion and Style Police. It was a transition month to Autumn Fashion and I loved it. As you all know, I am a big fan of Autumn Fashion with the layers and comfy pieces, so I really enjoyed styling various looks and photographing them. It was my way of saying goodbye to Summer Fashion and getting myself and wardrobe ready for Autumn.

I didn’t have the opportunity to post as many outfits as I would have wanted because September was a very busy month for me in my real life as well as my online life. But I got away with posting 3 different looks.

Here is a brief recap for those who missed them:

OOTD: It Feels Like Autumn

I had this white dress in my wardrobe for weeks before I actually wore it. I usually shy away from buying white pieces because I use to think they were not investment pieces. But I have sort of fallen in love with white, and I blame it on my Fashion Blogger friend – Moji of Moj n Touch, she makes white look so good.

I found this outfit easy to style. I was naturally drawn to the pieces and accessories. It took zero effort.

OOTD: A Blogger Event Outfit

I wore this outfit to the Street Style Bus Event some weeks ago, and I told you all about why I wear black to press events and all. So if you missed any of the posts, hit the links and catch up.

This outfit was easy to style as well. I am a sucker for animal prints (like you may have already noticed) when styled correctly. I have quite a few in my wardrobe.

OOTD: A Wedding Guest Outfit

So I saved the best for last. My favourite look in September and the most viewed outfit post is this Wedding Guest Outfit right here. I really enjoyed styling this look. It took me out of my comfort zone and I liked the finished look. This wedding guest outfit inspired a lot of my readers and I was very pleased to hear that.

Autumn is here and it is my favourite season as you should all know by now (because I don’t shut up about my love for Autumn, hehehe). I love the gradual transition from summer to winter, and I enjoy the transition weather a lot.

There are so many things about this season that I love but if I have to narrow my top 5 things I love about Autumn, here is how I would list them –

Chilled Evenings

I love how chilled out everywhere is during Autumn. After the hustle and bustle of summer with barbecues, picnics, holidays and people just all over the place, it is a breath of fresh air to just sit back and enjoy relaxing/chilled out evenings with my Sky Tv. The chilled evenings also make room for some me time with my personal grooming assistants – I like to have many bubble baths with my Yankee Candles burning in the background. I like to enjoy a massage with my massaging gadget, I like to relax and enjoy a manicure and pedicure with my mani/pedi gift set, and I like to shave my legs with my new epilator.

I have my evenings planned out this season and I plan to make the most of them.

Colour Change in Leaves

The colour change in leaves is so beautiful, I love it so much. The vibrant ambers, reds and yellows of Autumn is the best sight ever!

Chilly Weather

After the heat wave we experienced this summer, the chilly weather is needed. I like the fact that it is not too warm or too cold in Autumn, it is just perfect. The chilly weather is one of the best things in Autumn.

Autumn Fashion

I love Autumn Fashion as you all know already. The transition to layering style is so cool. I like the fact that I can throw on and off layers when needed.

The Darkness

It is getting dark already and I am not usually a fan of the darkness but as soon as I became a mother, I began to cherished the shorter days and longer nights because it is a lot easier to get the kids in bed at night, and get them to wake in the morning at a good time. Unlike in summer when it is still very bright at bedtime (7pm), my kids sometimes find it very difficult to understand that it is actually bed time, and then the sun comes out so early, they think it is their wake up time or what they call “morning time”. Good not to have to deal with that during Autumn/Winter.

Autumn Fashion Season Swag

One of the best things about a new season is a new wardrobe. And one of the best things about Autumn fashion is the layering and the cosy pieces. I get super excited about new season trends. All I need is an unlimited budget to get buying right? If only…

Since I can’t buy all the cool pieces in the stores, I happily lust after them. I have my mind on so many stylish pieces. Here are a few of them –

Double Breasted Shearling Coat £40

I love this double-breasted Sherling Coat a lot. The tan suedette fabric with super soft cream faux fur lining and faux fur oversized lapel is bang on trend. I have nothing like this stunning piece in my wardrobe so I think this coat will be a fabulous addition.

SIK SILK CAMO INTERLOCK POLY TRICOT ZIP HOODIE £64.99

I am always on the lookout for stylish menswear for the man in my life and I think this camouflage hoodie is a fab choice. I love the camouflage print, I think it is so trendy and always in vogue. I wonder why I have no cam piece. I think I will need to change that. I can picture this hoody looking amazing on my man. It has Autumn fashion season swag written all over it.

Women’s Crew Neck Striped Wool Dress £180

This wool multi coloured dress is on my style radar; I don’t care how heavy the price tag is, lol..

I can picture myself rocking this beautiful piece with my black ankle boots. It would look amazing. Pairing this beauty with a pair of white sneakers would give it a nice laid back look too.

Alegria Watch, Gray £279

If you know me well enough, you would know how much I love my watches. I have not bought a new watch in a bit, but I have my eye on this gorgeous piece right here. It is so chic, so elegant. I love the sophisticated look and the grey dial. I would so love to have this beautiful watch on my wrist. Maybe Santa would come early…

Faith Black ‘Brooke’ high boot £69

This Faith Black Brooke High Boots is the Truth! I would classify this as a wardrobe necessity this season. It is a great pair of boots to have this Autumn. It would take you from day-to-night easily. I can’t leave with a few pairs of ankle boots in my wardrobe during Autumn/Winter.
