Keeping Fit with GymCube

I must confess, I have never been into exercise. Many years ago, I signed up with my local gym and ended up hardly ever going for a whole year. However, now as a busy mum, juggling 2 active toddlers, running a household and working from home, I need to be fit and healthy. I also need to be in the right state of mind. Regular exercise is great for my mental health. The adrenaline rush I get from exercising is like no other! So I know keeping fit is a must for me. So I was super excited when GymCube got in touch.

I have recently signed up with GymCube on their Strengthen and Define workout plan. My body weight is where I need it to be but I would love to work on increasing my energy levels. I sometimes find myself struggling to cope with my daily activities. Panting on the stairs is definitely not a good look. So I need to get that bit sorted, and thanks to GymCube, I will be getting fit. My target is to increase my strength levels and take my body to the next level in time for Christmas.

The Strengthen and Define Plan
  • Strength training exercise plan to help you get from regular to ripped in record time
  • Be able to complete with the best with your new and improved stronger fitter body
  • Diet guide (with optional supplement plan) to improve your physique and performance

I am seriously loving this fitness plan with GymCube. It ticks all the boxes for me and I feel like I am going to enjoy the journey. The GymCube website features 0ver 600 exercise videos, live online coaching and support, diet guidance and support groups for help, guidance, tips, tricks and advice from the community.

Once I complete the Strengthen and Define workout plan, I will go on to follow the #GCLifestyle Guide. This is basically a real life, down to earth way of continuing my fitness journey. I see fitness as a journey with no destination. It is something I have to continue to work at everyday, so I remain fit and healthy.

I will be posting weekly updates on how I am getting on, here and on social media, so look out for my posts. I would love for you to join me in my fitness journey as well. Go have a look and sign up here to get started. There are 3 plan options –  Orange, Black and Platinum membership. So I am sure you will find the right plan for what you need. Do let me know how you get on.

Thanks for reading and cheers to the new week.

Careers in Fitness that Pay Well

I am all about living your life to the fullest and following your passion when it comes to a career. Show me a very happy person, and I can bet the person has a great career. Life and work go hand in hand, and that is why I always write about freelance/self-employed topics and share my freelance experience, because I truly love what I do, so I can’t help myself. I also write about them so often because I hope they would inspire someone out there to pursue their dreams and not give up without a fight.

There are so many careers that interest a wide range of people and pay well, but today, I am going to focus on Careers in Fitness that pay well because the fitness industry is currently booming.

A Personal Trainer

A personal trainer is one of the most popular career choices in the health and fitness industry, and I am not surprised. Personal trainers are in demand now more than ever. Back in the day, only the rich and famous could afford the luxury of having a personal trainer, but that is no longer the case. We the common people can now afford a personal trainer if needed because there are various affordable packages now available privately and in gyms.

A personal trainer has the ability to earn up to £60,000 a year, thanks to the current demand. I guess that explains why many people are now interested in studying Personal Trainer Courses. The potential financial rewards, the easiness of self-employment and the job satisfaction that can be had, make it a popular career choice.

Aerobatic Instructors

An aerobics instructor, also known as an exercise to music instructor, delivers group exercise classes that are performed to music. This career choice is an excellent starting point in the fitness industry, with the pay range being between £25 and £50 per hour, depending on experience, establishments they teach in and how many participants are in their classes or what time of day the classes are.

Nutritionist

According to the National Careers Service, a Nutritionist use the scientific knowledge of food to give information and advice about the effects of diet and nutrition on health and wellbeing. They usually hand in hand with the fitness trainer, in the fitness industry.  A Nutritionist has the ability to earn up to £50,000 a year.

Have you ever thought of any of these careers or other careers in fitness? Have you ever employed a Personal Trainer, Aerobatic Instructor or a Nutritionist?

Health, Fitness & Skincare Journey

One of my new year’s resolutions was to take my fitness and general health very seriously. Last year, I saw the consequences of not being fit, and I never want to experience any of that again. The body pains and the extra weight were not my cup of tea, so I rather am fit and healthy!

One of the issues with working from home is that it is so easy to be on your laptop, on the sofa all day, which is horrible for the body as you can imagine.

These days, I have been going on daily walks/runs; I easily go past the 10,000 recommended daily steps and I am loving it. I feel better, I look better and I am happier. Well, I guess being fit has a way of doing that to you, plus the amazing scenery at the moment is priceless.

Apart from having a balanced diet, I have also been taking vitamins supplements, and trying to get as much beauty sleep as possible. I am currently taking Vitabiotics WellWoman Vitamins Supplement and Natures Aid Chewable Vitamin C, and I think they are both doing the job, I just need to remember to take them every day.

So health and fitness aside, being in my 30s also means I need to step up my skincare routine and start experimenting with various anti-aging skincare products, which is what I am doing at the moment. I have a few anti-aging products I am testing out and I will be reviewing soon, so keep your eyes open.

If you need to start your own journey towards better health, fitness, and skincare, set yourself some goals to feel inspired and get ready for a healthy and happy 2021.
